BLAST and Saiyuki EXHIBITION in X'MAS!

  • Nov. 30th, 2009 at 4:54 PM

Saiyuki RELOAD BLAST is coming and, on Ichijinsha website, you can find a new section dedicated to Saiyuki.
Here for the page!
The image with Nataku and the sword in which are reflected Goku's eyes (that we have seen in Black&White in the last RELOAD chapter) is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Starting from 6th December to 27th, in Japan, another event will begin!
It will be similar to Saiyuki FESTA '09. It's name is Saiyuki Exhibition in X'mas.
The event will be located at GoFa (Gallery of Fantastic Art),
It will be divided in 3 stages:

The first one will be from 6th to 13rd December (it will be dedicated to the first parts of Saiyuki and RELOAD).
The second one will be from 15th to 20th December (it will be dedicated to Saiyuki Gaiden).
The third one will be from 22nd to 27th December (it will be dedicated to the second parts of Saiyuki and RELOAD).

During the exhibition will be some special events.
In one of them, on 27th December (starting from 14:00 PM), will be possible getting Minekura's sign.

This time you will need a ticket to enter.
The price is 500 Yen.
Event opens at 12:00 and closes at 18:00 PM.

Some gadgets will be released for the occasion:

- Art graph (signed)
- Mini art graph (signed)
- Original tumbler
- Art print set

Recently Kazuya Minekura an Yun Kouga drew these two characters:

Goku is so cuteeeeeeeeee! I want him! *________*

Ichijinsha website is updated and here the news:

- ZEROSUM who will be published tomorrow WILL NOT HAVE (THIS TIME AGAIN) the interviews dedicated to Sanzo and Gojyo.
Editors apologize because they weren't able to correct in time the cover...
So? Those interviews will not be published anymore?

And...in the section "next issue"...they talk about SAIYUKI RELOAD BLAST!!
Next month, the new and last series will begins!
Minekura
will draw an illustration for the cover and the beginning color!
Together with the magazine will be attached a clear file (if I am right).
And will be possible ordering a gadget thanks to the two pages within the magazine. If I've understood well, a mousepad?

I can't wait to see the first BLAST chapter!! *ççç*
hi...would like to ask if anyone can direct me to find the gunlock vocal albums (think there are 2)?? thanks!!
and is there any place i can download the character song albums??

thanks!! ^_^

Fan Art: long time, no see, Photoshop. :P

  • Nov. 26th, 2009 at 11:19 AM
Hi there! I've been a fan of the game since it came out, and followed the community for a bit, but this is my first post here. I thought I'd share a bit of fan art I did, just for the hell of it. :B

Saiyuki Reload Graffiti

  • Nov. 26th, 2009 at 5:25 PM
I heard there was a new artbook which Minekura-sensei has released.
I'm not sure if it's for sale or anything but I was hoping if anyone knew what this book is about. Because if I'm not mistaken, there are quite some text inside besides featuring new artwork.

OMG there's a sequel coming out XD

Bored, I starting doodling and eventually came up with a picture of Fitz:

Fitz Foils Fool's Fantasies )

Hope this inspires the artists in the audience...

EDIT: There was a little boy running around my house tonight singing "Jingle Bells" at full volume, and this popped into my head:

everybody stopped counting by now.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY
[info]skzb!

Possibly the one person for whom I started the whole crazy service-year-in-America thing. Gosh, I wish I could see you again. I waited until I came back from Tel-Aviv today (12-hour days, whoo) so I could use a picture showing my BRAND-NEW AWESOME PUNK HAIRCUT, which I got today, but of course by the time I was reunited with my camera it had decided to crap out. So have a pic from yesterday. I figured cleavage is ample celebration material. :D

Have a great year, and continue rocking the fuck on. You're so skilled at it already. ♥

Arcana stories by Minekura and a request

  • Nov. 24th, 2009 at 12:05 AM
As probably you all know, on mangafox is possible finding the chapters of Arcana volumes by Kazuya Minekura.

Spider's Nest
FLIES
Prince of Stars
The Wolf and the 7 Baby Goats

I'm very interested in these stories and I like some of them more than other ones.
For exemple "FLIES" and "The Wolf and the 7 Baby Goats".
But one story missing. In Arcana volume 5 (the theme is "Samurai") Minekura drew a one-shot.
I've the raws but no translation...
Some of you could help me to find it?

Art and art

  • Nov. 23rd, 2009 at 11:39 AM
Sort of random, but I'm currently re-reading the Farseer series (I'm on RA!), and noticed this cover while at work (I work for a game shop, and handle at least one of this particular title either in sale or in trade every day that I'm there):

I'm in your RPG, bein' Old Blood )

And something not related to video game art:

What say you members to a Holiday fan art jam for the Hobb books? Kettricken dressed in festive red with white trim! Fitz carving a turkey (or going nuts on it and stabbing it a zillion times)! Verity hanging his stockings by the fire with care! The Fool lighting the Menorah! Burrich beating the crap out of people at Walmart on Black Friday! Regal the red-nosed reindeer!

Just a thought. It'd liven up the comm a little, don't you think?

Original Picture

Does anyone know where I can find the original picture used to make this avatar please? :)
Hello everyone! I was lucky enough to get a Netbook some months back for my birthday, and love it to pieces. But it's really hard to find good wallpapers that are 1024x600, which is the resolution I prefer to use. So I made some!
I'm no graphics-master, by any means. These are mostly just resized/cropped pictures from Salty Dog 6, shared by the lovely gals at [info]saiyuki_manga. But you guys are more than welcome to use them, if you can/want.

x-posted to [info]saiyuki, sorry for doubles!

Blue Skies!

  • Nov. 21st, 2009 at 10:33 PM
Weekend is here again! o(^__^)o And not a moment too soon. Despite the fact that I had a shortened work week (having taken Monday off), it still felt like it dragged. Perhaps it's just that time of year, when you'd rather be out doing celebratory things, or just relaxing inside with a hot cup of cocoa instead of slaving away behind a computer all day.

the ring

My week hit a snag on Wednesday morning when I opened my jewelry box and discovered that I was missing my gold Celtic filigree ring. (;___o) It's not worth a lot of money, but has sentimental value as one of my first purchases for myself after I got a full time job out of college. I've had it for a long time, and have loved it. I can't imagine where I lost it, and I'm sure I had it with me when I got back from my trip. My mother once lost a pair of earrings she adored, and hunted around futilely for a similar replacement. Then several months down the line, lo! They reappeared, discovered in the corner of her bathroom. I'm hoping I'll have a similar miraculous recovery. X)

project runway

Caught the final episode of Project Runway, though I was hardly excited about it, having seen and been underwhelmed by the final collections already. Still, it was worth watching, just to see Tim Gunn throw a hissy fit backstage! And I have to admit, the collections did look more interesting when in movement, compared to the online stills.

top chef

We're down to the final four! It's been a pretty predictable season, and I could've guessed this final four very early on in the competition. Why is it that everyone else sucked so bad? Was really happy to see Jen finally get herself together, and I'm hoping she'll be well rested enough to put in a good performance at the finale in Napa. Meanwhile, Michael Voltaggio showed off his douchebaggery to the fullest in this last episode. I was quite amused that everyone he badmouthed ended up winning over him, lol.

The French judges were quite stoic and snobby! I was sorry that Toby Young wasn't there to give them a bit of his British charm and put them off their cool. *g*

ice cream machine!!

So today, aside from getting Christmas cards (finally!), I also got myself an ice cream machine! I'd been thinking of getting one for quite some time, and after some encouragement from [info]whymzycal, I decided to charge ahead with it. I don't have a particular designated dish for this year's Thanksgiving, so I was thinking of making a cranberry vanilla sorbet. Will do a test run this weekend. I'm going to whip up the mix tonight and cool it off overnight so it'll be ready to toss into the machine tomorrow. I'll report back later to let you know if there was success!

plurk

I was introduced to Plurk yesterday, and went ahead and signed up for an account...even though I hardly need to add yet another thing to update to my long list of accounts! XD;; But it's actually been quite fun so far! It's a microblogging service very much like Twitter, but has some interesting features that are similar to LJ, like replying to posts (where replies are connected to the posts and not posted to your own account) and filtering of posts. The filtering function for individual posts is handy, since with Twitter, you have to either lock all or none of your posts.

Anyway, my account is here, if anyone is interested. X)

san francisco

Aaaand, getting back to where I started: San Francisco! My first trip out to Cali was a blast, and there were definitely some beautiful blue skies to be seen! This picture here was taken on a lawn near Mission and 3rd. Nearby, kids were playing catch or chasing seagulls while fashionably dressed ladies walked their equally fashionable dogs. There was also a lovely waterfall/fountain sculpture dedicated to Martin Luther King ("justice rolls down like water"), which was amazing and inspirational.

Not a long one this time, but still late. Sorry! My house is almost finished -- I started moving back in this last weekend, unpacking boxes -- but work is still nuts. Hopefully I will do better this week, and then turn to fiction during the hiatus. I'm backlogged on stories!
